The 4:04 AM Wake-Up, the Manifested Lie, and the True Fear of the Lord
The Lord woke me up in the middle of the night again—this time at exactly 4:04 AM. Lying there in the dark, the quiet clarity of the early morning settled over me, and I finally decided on two upcoming book titles for the My Only Son publishing project. One of them will tackle a subject that keeps coming up in my spirit, a subject the modern world is desperate to ignore: The Fear of the Lord.
It is time to write a book that completely takes the legs out from under the metaphysical manifestation arguments. We are living in a culture drowning in a comfortable, toxic doctrine that claims God is only a God of love and happiness, a cosmic genie who demands no reverence and issues no consequences for sin. People treat His grace like it is just air, a universal energy to be manipulated for our own wealth and worldly pleasure.
Let's call it exactly what it is: sorcery. It is a manifested lie. You unwind that sorcery by reinstating the absolute, holy fear of the Lord. Yes, the New Testament beautifully reveals the profound love and grace of Jesus Christ, but to sit here and claim that God is only love without consequence is a dangerous deception. The Old Testament reveals His unyielding holiness and justice. There are real consequences for how we live, and a healthy, trembling fear of the Lord is the only proper foundation for true wisdom.

Jeremiah 9:3 (NIV): "They make ready their tongue like a bow, to shoot lies; it is not by truth that they triumph in the land. They go from one sin to another; they do not acknowledge me," declares the LORD.
Jeremiah 9:5-6 (NIV): "Friend deceives friend, and no one speaks the truth. They have taught their tongues to lie; they weary themselves with sinning. You live in the midst of deception; in their deceit they refuse to acknowledge me," declares the LORD.
O - Observation
The prophet Jeremiah describes a society completely saturated in deception. The people use their words as weapons to "shoot lies" and actively refuse to acknowledge the true nature of the Lord. This ancient text perfectly mirrors the modern "I Am" and manifestation movements. When we teach our tongues to lie—claiming we are the creators of our own reality and ignoring the holy justice of God—we weary ourselves with sinning. By stripping God of His sovereignty and reducing Him to a mere source of "good vibes," we refuse to truly acknowledge Him.
A - Application
I cannot afford to be passive about this. I spent years wrapped up in the sorcery of manifestation, living in the exact deception Jeremiah warns about. Today, my posture must be one of deep, reverent fear of the Almighty. I need to execute this book project to warn others about the destructive nature of these metaphysical lies. I must actively reject the cultural pressure to water down the gospel into a consequence-free self-help seminar, and instead, boldly declare both the radical love and the fierce holiness of God.
P - Prayer
Heavenly Father, thank You for the wake-up call at 4:04 AM. Give me the clarity and the discipline to write these books and expose the manifested lies of this culture. Forgive the world, and forgive me for the times I treated Your grace as cheap and Your holiness as irrelevant. Restore a fierce, healthy fear of the Lord in my heart today. Keep my tongue from the deception of this age, and let my words point directly to Your true, sovereign nature. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Identify one area in your spiritual life where you have treated God more like a vending machine for your comfort than the holy Creator of the universe. Take five minutes right now to get on your knees, confess that casual posture, and actively thank Him for His justice, His consequences, and His sovereign authority.
